Super Falcon Of Nigeria Will Play Gambia in AWCON Qualifiers
Super Falcons of Nigeria will play Gambia in the second round of African Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers to be hosted by Ghana in November 2018.
Super Falcons who are the defending Champions were given a bye in the first round alongside South Africa, Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon.
The Gambia Women national team defeated their Burkina Faso counterpart to set-up a second-round clash with Nigeria. The Gambians lost 2-1 to Burkina Faso in their first leg encounter at the 4 Août Stadium in Ouagadougou.

However, they won the return leg 2-1 in Bakau on Tuesday and forced the game into penalties where they prevailed 5-3 on aggregate.
Gambia and the Super Falcons will face off in June and the winner of the two-legged tie will qualify for the African Women’s Cup of Nations, Ghana 2018, the second round matches will hold between June 4-12, 2018.
The seven winners of the second round are expected to join hosts Ghana for the 13th edition of the continental showpiece scheduled for 17th November to 1st December 2018.
The three top nations in the African Women’s Cup of Nations competition will qualify for the or the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
