Super Eagles Begins Training In London, To Train At Wembley On Friday

The Super Eagles team had their first training session in London on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s friendly against the Three Lions of England at the prestigious Wembley Stadium.

The team arrived in London on Wednesday on board a chartered flight, after their friendly match on Monday against DR Congo at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, the Super Eagles of Nigeria were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by the Leopards od DR Congo on Monday.
A tweet posted on the Super Eagles verified Twitter handle is quoted as  saying:
“Back to work. We resumed training at The Hive, Barnet Stadium this evening ahead of Saturday’s prestige friendly against England.
#SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong,” the Super Eagles tweeted on Thursday evening with pictures of the players in training.

The team will have their official training at Wembley Stadium on Friday at 5 pm.“Our press conference ahead of Saturday’s international friendly against England holds tomorrowFriday, June 1, 2018, at The Wembley Stadium. Time is 4:15 pm.

“Our official training starts immediately after, at 5 pm”.

Both the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Three Lions of England are using the friendly game to prepare for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia this month.

The Super Eagles will compete in Group D alongside perennial foes Argentina, Iceland and Croatia while England will battle African opposition Tunisia, Panama and Belgium in Group G.
