Nigerian Players Abroad: Ebuehi Fails Late Fitness Test, Efe Ambrose Scores And Omeruo Loses At Home With Kasimpasa

Netherland: Tyronne Ebuehi was initially included in the starting line up of ADO Den Haag against Excelsior at the Van Donge and De Roo Stadium, the home ground of Excelsior, Ebuehi however failed a late fitness test during warm up for the match and was consequently omitted from the match day squad, and his position was taken up by Hennos Asmelash.

The evening however turned out to be a good one for Ebuehi and team mates as they came from behind to claim a 2-1 away victory. In the Jupiler League, on loan Arsenal youngster Kelechi Nwakali started for MVV Maastricht against RKC Waalwijk. Kelechi Nwakali played all 90 minutes and picked up a yellow card in the 23rd minute of the match, MVV Maastricht came from behind to pick up one point in the encounter through a goal scored by Jonathan Okita in the 81st minute, as the game finished 1-1.

Turkey: The Nigerian duo of Kenneth Omeruo and Emem Eduok started for Kasimpasa as they lost at home 3-2 to Antalyaspor, Omeruo played the entire duration of the match and put up a decent display at the heart of Kasimpasa’s defence even though they lost, the other Nigerian in the colours of Kasimpasa, Emem Eduok was however replaced in the 54th minute by Bengali-Fode Koita.

Also in Turkey Aminu Umar was in the starting line up of Osmanlispor FK and helped them to a comprehensive 4-0 victory away to Karabukspor in a Turkish Super Lig match played at the Dr. Necmettin Seyhoglu Yenisehir Stadium, Umar was in an inspiring form as he provided assist for the second goal scored by Mehmet Batdal in the 41st minute and was substituted in the 74th minute of the match.

Scotland: Forgotten Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose was as usual in the starting line up of Hibernian away to St. Johnstone in a Scottish Premiership match played on Friday night, Efe got Hibernian to a dream start by scoring in the 2nd minute of the encounter, unfortunately they couldn’t hold on to the lead as Christopher Kane equalised for the host in the 83rd minute of the encounter and the match ended one goal apiece.

Czech Republic: Musefiu Ashiru  was rooted to the bench of FC Zbrojovka Brno for the entire duration of the Czech 1st League match as they lost 2-0 away to Slovan Liberec. Musefiu Ashiru has featured just twice this year for FC Zbrojovka Brno and in both appearance as substitutes, playing a total of 37 minutes.

Slovakia: Christopher Udeh started in defence for Tatran Presov in a Slovakian Fortuna league match against FK Senica, Udeh played the entire match and helped Tatran Presov get a decent 1-1 draw at home. The 20 years old Christopher Udeh has played 20 league matches for Tatran Presov this season, starting 19 of those matches and with 6 yellow cards to his name.
