Latest FIFA World Rakings: Nigeria Maintains 52nd Position In The World And 7th In Africa
The Nigerian Super Eagles remains in the 52nd position in the latest FIFA Coca Cola World Rankings released on Thursday on FIFA’s official website. Nigeria also maintained their 7th position in Africa, the same position they found themselves in the last FIFA World ranking with a total of 609 points.
The top 5 nation from last month’s ranking remains unchanged with Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina and Belgium occupying the top five spots in the world.
Poland, Nigeria’s next opponent in an international friendly on March 23rd, are the only movers in the top 20 as they climbed one spot to become joint-sixth with Spain. The best mover this month is Andorra, who moved seven places to the 130th position in the World.
For Africa, Tunisia, Senegal, Congo DR, Morocco, Egypt, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso and Algeria make up the top ten teams in the ranking of African countries. Serbia who will also play the Eagles in another friendly billed for March 27, maintained 34th position.
