Stoke City Sign Oghenekaro Etebo From Feirense For €7.2m

Stoke City have completed their first piece of transfer business of the summer by bringing in Oghenekaro Peter Etebo from Portuguese side Feirense.

Stoke City have announced the signing of Nigerian international Oghenekaro Peter Etebo on a five-year contract. The 22-year-old midfielder has moved to the bet365 Stadium from Portuguese side Feirense for a fee of 7.2m euros.

The World Cup-bound Nigeria international joined the Potters on a five-year deal ahead of their first campaign back in the Championship.

Stoke have paid €7.2m (£6.3m) to sign the 22-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Las Palmas in La Liga.

Chief Executive Tony Scholes claims that Etebo chose City over Bundesliga and Premier League sides, despite the club’s recent relegation into the second tier of English football.
