Rivers United And DC Motema Pembe Match Has Been Put Off

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) TotalEnergies Confederation’s Cup group B match between Rivers United of Nigeria and Daring Club Motema Pembe of DR Congo has been put off following the non-arrival of Daring Club Motema Pembe, as the Nigerian club Rivers United awaits the decision of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Nigeria Premier League (NFL)  defending champions secured a crucial away win against the Congolese side last week with Paul Acquah scoring the only goal of the game.

The Matchday 4 reverse fixture was scheduled to take place at the Goodwill Akpabio stadium in Uyo today Wednesday 8th March 2023 by 5 pm.

However, according to the report, the Congolese team are yet to arrive in Nigeria at the stipulated kickoff time for the game due to some logistics reasons.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will take a decision on the game, 3 points and 3 goals may be awarded to Rivers United or the game will be fixed for another date.
