England Vs Nigeria Friendly: Super Eagles Possible Lineup (Team A) Play Against Team B In Training

The Super Eagles of Nigeria commenced training in London on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s high profile international friendly match against the Three Lions of England at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, June 2.

The first training session of the team took place at The Hive Stadium, home ground of Barnet FC, who play in the English National League. Victor Moses, who joined the Super Eagles camp on Thursday morning was part of the training session which started at around 4:30 pm on Thursday evening.

The team was split into two groups comprising the possibles lining up against the probables. The possibles had the safe hands of Francis Uzoho who is fast becoming the anointed one in goal, Shehu Abdullahi, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun and Bryan Idowu in defence, skipper John Mikel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi and Joel Obi in midfield and in the attack, Odion Ighalo, VictorMoses and Alex Iwobi.

For the probables, Enyimba’s Ikechukwu Ezenwa was in goal with the defence comprising Benfica of Portugal new acquisition Tyronne Ebuehi, Kenneth Omeruo, Chidozie Awaziem, Elderson Echiejile, John Ogu, Oghenekaro Etebo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa and the lanky Crotone of Italy striker Simeon Nwankwo (Simy).

Thursday’s training started with a warmup exercise, after which the outfield players participated in cone drills while Francis Uzoho, Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa were being put through their paces by goalkeeper coaches Alloy Agu and Enrico Pionetti.

John Obi Mikel showed great form in training, other players who impressed for the team A were Bursaspor’s Shehu Abdullahi and Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi while for the team B Simeon Nwankwo was impressive with his style of holding up play and linking up with fellow teammates.

The team will hold it’s first official training session inside the famous Wembley Stadium on Friday (today) by 5 pm. The training will be preceded by a press conference also at Wembley Stadium by 4:15 pm.
