Bet Of The Day Tips, Sunday 6th May 2018

For today’s Bet Of The Day Tips, we have a bumper 20 wonderful picks on the menu list, we have never predicted up to this number of matches before, it’s massive work but trust me each match was expertly selected. You can play as singles, accumulator or in any betting format of your choice, you’re also free to make modifications to the games before you stake on them. We wish you the Best of Luck! Here are previews to some of the matches:

Lyon vs Troyes

Lyon has been in great form winning their last 5 games and is now in second place above Monaco who has held that position since the beginning of the season, although they are just one point above Monaco who are in the third position.

Lyon would love to maintain the second position because it guarantees automatic Champions League football while finishing third means they have to go through a series of qualifying matches to play in the Champions League proper. Lyon is massive favourites going into the match against Troyes at the Stade Olympique Lyonnais, where Lyon has won 4 games in a row and lost just two times all season.

Troyes ended a 4 game losing streak by defeating Caen 3-1 last weekend, that rare victory moved the club up to the 18th position on the league standing, Troyes has the worst away record in the league where they have won just 8 points from a possible 51. Lyon certainly will have too much quality for lowly Troyes at home and should ease to a comfortable victory, so our prediction is an easy win for Lyon.

SPAL 2013 vs Benevento

SPAL 2013 will welcome already relegated Benevento to the Stadio Paolo Mazza, SPAL is desperately in need of points to get themselves out of relegation troubles but they will be up against a Benevento side that has played better since being relegated. Le Streghe finally earned their first away win by shocking AC Milan 1-0 at the San Siro and then managed to draw 3-3 with Udinese, that is 4 points from a possible 6 since they were relegated.

Nothing will please Benevento than to drag SPAL along with them to the Serie B next season, but the host will be desperate not to allow that to happen. At this point they are out of the drop zone, they sit in 17th position just one point ahead of 18th placed Chievo Verona, so if they fail to get anything out of this game, they could be back in the drop zone. A draw would certainly help them, but they obviously will want a win to further pull away from the relegation zone.

The problem for SPAL is they have drawn too many games at home this season, winning just 3 matches out of 17 and drawing 8, which means they haven’t been picking up enough points and they now are in some serious trouble. With Chievo taking on Crotone, the Flying Donkeys will be equally desperate for a result so SPAL will be very wary and be watching over their shoulders coming into this match.

Benevento has the worst defence in the league and has conceded a massive 81 goals so far, although they managed a clean sheet against Milan it’s hard to see them repeating that again against Spal. They have also failed to keep a clean sheet in all their away matches this season except of course the Millan game, SPAL should be confident of scoring a goal at least in this match.

Benevento will be missing at about nine players through injuries and suspensions which could make things more difficult for the visitors. SPAL has a decent scoring record and a defence that managed to shut down Juventus not too long ago at this same ground.

SPAL need to find a way to win this match to avoid getting into more serious troubles and they won’t have a better opportunity than now to help themselves into a more comfortable position on the league table. Our prediction is that SPAL should be able to get a win against a Benevento side with a very leaky back line. However, to be on a safe side, I will go for SPAL to win or draw this match.

Marseille vs Nice

The Stade Velodrome will be the venue on Sunday night when Marseille square up against Nice. Both are pursuing different objectives this season. Marseille is hoping to claim a Champions League place and Nice are looking to finish 5th in order qualify for the Europa League play-offs.

Although Marseille is in the Europa League final, they need to refocus on the league, they need the 3 points against Nice to displace Monaco from the third position. Marseille’s form is good coming into this game and they have the 3rd best home record in the league where they have lost just 2 games this season at Stade Velodrome.

Nice’s form has been decent and they have managed to remain unbeaten in the league for over a month now but the truth is that they have drawn too many games in the process and lost a lot of points as well. Nice are also unbeaten away in the league for the past 4 months and will be hopeful of taking at least a point from the Stade Velodrome as they continue to battle St Etienne and Rennes for the 5th position. Our prediction is Marseille to win or draw this match.
