Transfer Speculation: Cristiano Ronaldo To Leave Juventus And Make Real Madrid Return
Jose Fonte ‘wouldn’t be surprised’ if his compatriot and friend Cristiano Ronaldo left Juventus to seal a return to former club Real Madrid.
Shock reports in Italy claim Juve are willing to cash in on Ronaldo in the next transfer window to help lessen the financial burden on the club during the coronavirus crisis.
Corriere Dello Sport reports the Serie A giants are ready to accept a £50million bid for the Portugal superstar, and Real Madrid are said to be interested in bringing Ronaldo back to the Spanish capital.
Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo spent nine years in the Spanish capital before leaving for Turin in 2018 in a £100m deal.

The 35-year-old has been a huge hit in Italy, scoring 53 goals in 75 appearances and helping Juventus to their eighth consecutive Serie A title last season.
But a potential return to Madrid could tempt him into leaving the Turin, according to his Portugal teammate Fonte.
“I know he loves Madrid, that’s for sure,” the Lille centre-back told talkSPORT host Jim White.
“It’s clear that he loves the club itself, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world, if not the biggest.
“He’s left many, many friends there and he’s always left the door open.
“So I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes back to Real Madrid.”
Ronaldo helped Real to eight major pieces of silverware in nine years and played an instrumental role in four Champions League triumphs.
According to the report, though, the chances of the Spanish giants re-signing the star depend on whether they can sign top target Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.
Ronaldo won four of his five Champions League titles during his spell with Real Madrid. He also won two LaLiga crowns and the Copa del Rey twice.
