Super Eagles Of Nigeria Land In London For The Friendly Match Against Serbia
The players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria and officials have landed in London, ahead of their international friendly against the Orlovi (the Eagles) of Serbia at The Hive Stadium on Tuesday, march 27.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria who were far from convincing in their last international friendly match against Poland at the Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw last Friday would use this latest friendly match to correct some glaring flaws noticed in the team.
Oghenekaro Etebo of Las Palmas and Akwa United striker Gabriel Okechukwu were already at the team’s Crowne Plaza Hotel, Camp situated at the Western Avenue, Hanger in London, before the the arrival of other squad members and officials from Poland.
Coach Gernot Rohr speaking in a press conference after the game against Poland, hinted that apart from Oghenekaro Etebo, two other players Mikel Agu of Turkish side Bursaspor and Al Ahly of Egypt hit man Junior Ajayi will join the team in London latest this weekend.
All three players missed the international friendly match against Poland, Oghenekaro Etebo had fitness issues, Mikel Agu was not invited for the match against Poland while Junior Ajayi had travel hiccups and could not make it to Wroclaw, Poland.
Daniel Akpeyi of Chippa United who is suppose to swell the number of goal keepers in camp to three is unlikely to make the trip to London because his visa issues is yet to be resolved .
