Nigerian Players Abroad: Kelechi Nwakali Plays 90 minutes, Ogenyi Onazi Shines For Trabzonspor

Nertherland: In the round 29 matches of the Eerste Divisie, Arsenal youngster Kelechi Nwakali was on from start to finish for MVV Maastricht against FC Volendam at Kras Stadion, the home ground of FC Volendam.

Kelechi Nwakali wearing jersey number 40 for MVV Maastricht played in the midfield where he controlled and dictated the flow of the game, giving his team the leverage to go 2 goals up within the first 5 minutes of the match. Else where in Turkey, Kehinde Olarenwaju came off the bench of Ankaragucu in the 87th minute and scored the winning goal 2 minutes later in the 89th minute to hand a 2-1 away win to Ankaragucu against Istanbulspor.

The other Nigerian in the books of Ankaragucu Nduka Ozokwor, who is the son of popular actress Patience Ozokwor was not listed for this Turkish 1st Lig match.

Still in Turkey, Chico Ofoedu was on parade for 90 minutes as his team Eskisehirspor lost 4-2 at home to Altinordu. The lost left Eskisehirspor just one point above the relegation zone.

In another Turkish 1st Lig match, Adanaspor lost 1-0 at home to Balikesirspor and Uche Kalu was an used substitute on the bench of Adanaspor, who are just 3 points away from the relegation zone.

Norway: The Nigerian duo of Chidera Ejuke and Sam Adekugbe were on parade for Vaalerenga in the Norwegian Eliteserien round 1 league fixture against Kristiansund BK.

Sam Adekungbe played the full 90 minutes and got a yellow card in the 90th minute for all his troubles while Chidera Ejuke was substituted in the 90th minute of the encounter. Vaalerenga held on for 1-0 away win through a goal scored by Sam Johnson in the 63rd minute of the mach.
