Jose Mourinho Wants Leicester City Team Mate Of Ndidi And Iheanacho To Bolster Defence Next Season

Jose Mourinho the coach of Manchester United is very keen to bring Leicester City’s £35million-rated centre-back Harry Maguire to Old Trafford this summer, as part of plans to bolster his defence in preparation for a Premier League title challenge next season.

Harry Maguire, who joined the Foxes from Hull City at the start of the current campaign, is a top target for Jose Mourinho, according to the Mirror.

It is an open secret that Mourinho has desired a defensive option, the Red Devil’s defence has been quite solid as Manchester United have more clean sheets this season than any other club in the Premier League. They have 16 clean sheets but much of that achievement can be attributed to the heroics of their goalkeeper David de Gea.

Mourinho is believed to also have an eye for Swansea’s Alfie Mawson, he recently sent scouts to watch him in Swansea’s 1-1 draw with West Brom earlier this month.

Harry Maguire who still has four years left on his current contract at Leicester City has been very impressive this season and looks set to be in England’s team heading to this year summer’s World Cup in Russia.

The 25-year-old has played for the England Three Lion’s four times this year, Maguire seems to have displaced Manchester United defender Chris Smalling from the Three Lion’s first team and he could possibly do the same at club level if he finally goes to United.

It could be recalled that Harry Maguire was the hero for Leicester City last December when he scored a last-gasp equaliser for Leicester when they met Manchester United in the league and he described the goal as a ‘special moment’.
