David Okereke Joins Torino On Loan From Cremonese

Torino FC has bolstered their attack with the loan signing of Nigerian striker David Okereke from Cremonese.

Okereke, a proven Serie A performer, notched up seven goals for Cremonese in the 2022/23 season and has added two more in Serie B this season.

Sky Sport Italia reported the details of the operation, confirming that Okereke is set to leave Cremonese and join Torino on a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent, mirroring the structure used for Masina’s acquisition from Udinese.

The 26-year-old Nigerian forward, who has featured in nineteen appearances between Serie B and the Coppa Italia this season for Cremonese, scoring two goals and providing two assists, will undergo medical examinations tonight in Turin.

Cremonese, who acquired Okereke for €5 million from Club Brugge, previously valued him at €6 million, angling to turn a profit. However, Transfermarkt’s current valuation of Okereke stands at €2.7 million.

This comes alongside Moroccan defender Adam Masina, as both players are poised to become the newest additions to the Granata squad.

In the previous Serie A campaign with Cremonese, Okereke showcased his skills in thirty-eight matches, contributing nine goals and three assists.
