Bet Of The Day Tips, Thursday 3rd May 2018

Yesterday was great as all our ten picks won. For today’s Bet Of The Day Tips, we have six excellent picks on the menu list, you can play as singles, accumulator or in any betting format of your choice, you’re also free to make modifications to the games before you stake on them. We wish you the Best of Luck! Here are previews to some of the matches:

Salzburg vs Marseille

Olympique Marseille put up an excellent display in the first leg to see off the challenge of hard fighting Salzburg by 2-0 at the Stade Velodrome last week, but the Austrian Champions have been in this kind of situation before when they lost 4-2 to Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico and came back to overturn the deficit by winning 4-1 at home to kick Lazio out of the competition in the quarter-final stage.

This is exactly why there is still so much to play for in this game, it is on a cliffhanger and could swing anywhere, we are certainly in for an exciting encounter on Thursday.

Salzburg has been nothing but brutal at home, they are unbeaten in 7 home games in the Europa League this season with 5 wins and 2 draws. Defensively Salzburg has also been solid with 5 clean sheets out of 7 home matches and scoring 3 or more goals in three of their 5 home victories in the Europa League this season.

Olympique Marseille have been very strong at home, they are unbeaten at home in the competition, but their away form gives a course for concern, Marseille has only managed just 1 win from 8 away games so far, they have drawn 3 and lost 4 of those games. Another important factor is that Olympique Marseille has been tight at the back as they have not conceded more than 1 goal in any of those away losses.

Salzburg is a very good team, they have already beaten Marseille 1-0 at home in the group stages, they will stretch the French team to their limits and the big question is can the Dimitri Payet lead Marseille team hang on for a result that will take them to the final taking place on French soil. Lyon to be precise. My prediction is a win or draw game for Salzburg, just to be on a very safe side.

Atletico Madrid vs Arsenal

Atletico Madrid goes into this match as firm favourites, the Wanda Metropolitano is a stadium where the Los Rojiblancos have not conceded in 12 matches across all competitions dating back to January.

Arsenal blew their chances away in the first leg when they failed to take advantage of a 10 man Atletico team right from the 10th minute of the match when Croatian defender Sime Vrsaljko was sent off for two bookable offenses.

The Gunners struggled to penetrate the well-organized defensive set-up of the Spanish side and failed to score the required goals. Eventually, they got the breakthrough as Lacazette scored to put them ahead, but thanks to their defensive shortcomings, they conceded a late equaliser scored by Antoine Griezmann.

Arsenal has a very poor away form, they have lost 6 of their last 9 away matches in all competitions. While Atletico has been beaten just once at home in the current season in all competitions. It is difficult to look beyond a win for Atletico Madrid in this match, it will take something extremely special for the Gunners to get something out of this match. My prediction is win or draw game for Atletico Madrid.

Malmo vs Djurgarden

Swedish champions Malmo takes on eight placed Djurgarden in a midweek Allsvenskan encounter. This is the second time that both teams will be meeting this season, the first game was at Djurgarden’s home ground and they hammered Malmo by 3-0.

Malmo’s start to this campaign has been very poor by their usual standards. Malmo is 7 points adrift of the current league leaders AIK. Malmo have just 2 wins in 6 games so far but their problems have come from their away matches, they have lost two, drawn one and won one out of four away matches played so far.

Malmo and Djurgarden are both level on 8 points and separated only on goal difference. Malmo is desperate for a win to put their season back on track. The home team urgently needs a change in fortune if they are going to challenge AIK for the title, The match against Djurgarden on Thursday will be a very tight affair but I expect Malmo to get a win. However, to play safe I will go for Malmo to win or draw the game.
