Bet Of The Day Tips Thursday, 19th April 2018

For today’s Bet Of The Day Tips, we have four matches on cue as usual and they are:

Burnley Vs Chelsea

Sean Dyche has worked miracles at Burnley. The Clarets are only two points behind sixth-placed Arsenal after a streak of five wins in a row in the competition. Can they keep such an amazing run going on Thursday when last season’s winners Chelsea come to Turf Moor?

Chris Wood has been the catalyst for the rise in Burnley’s form. The former Leeds United striker has scored as many as five goals in his last five appearances for Burnley.

The story is totally opposite with Chelsea who has had a disappointing campaign this season. Chelsea will not want to lose this match as they will try to mount a late challenge for a top-four finish. Our prediction is Chelsea win or draw double chance.

Ajax Amsterdam Vs VVV Venlo

Ajax lost the Championship to PSV who took the title by trashing the helpless Ajax team 3-0 on Sunday at Philips Stadion. It was a very bitter pill for Erik ten Hag and his men to swallow. The Dutch manager will definitely have serious difficulties motivating the players for the mid-week fixture against VVV at Amsterdam, ArenA.

Ajax needs a win, in order to maintain a  five points gap above AZ Alkmaar in second and at least book a Champions League qualifications berth next term. Our prediction is Ajax to win this game easily.

Levante UD Vs Malaga CF

Levante host bottom-placed Malaga for their bottom-of-the-table clash on Thursday evening, Levante will be looking forward to outclassing the struggling Malaga team and return to winning ways after a 3-0 loss at Atletico Madrid last weekend.

Malaga comes into this match after recording four losses and just one draw in their last five matches, Malaga narrowly lost a thriller 3-2 loss at Deportivo La Coruna early in April.

Malaga has played very good football this season, their current position does not do justice to their actual ability. Their problem has been lack of concentration at very crucial times in games, they have lost so many games this season by conceding late goals.

Against Levante who have not been exactly solid at home this season, we are tipping Malaga not to lose by more than a one-goal margin, hence our pick is a plus two goals handicap for Malaga.

Real Sociedad Vs Atletico Madrid

The team from San Sebastian has won two games on the bounce without conceding and scoring six goals in the process. The impact of the new head coach Imanol Alguacial definitely being felt, but the real challenge for Sociedad will come today as they take on the second-placed Atletico Madrid at Anoeta.

Diego Simeone’s men trashed Levante 3-0 in their last match with Angel Correa, Antoine Griezmann and Fernando Torres delivering the goals, Atletico Madrid who will be looking to keep the four-point advantage above Valencia in third with a result at Anoeta.

Atletico Madrid is a pretty solid team and it will take something special for Real Sociedad to beat them, Sociedad is already safe and does not have any hope for European football next season, so they have little or nothing to motivate them for the game. Our prediction is Atletico Madrid to win or draw double chance
