Ahmed Musa Excited To End Goal Drought With A Brace

Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa is excited to have ended his five-game goal drought in Saudi Arabia, he scored a brace for his club, Al Nassr Riyadh in Thursday’s 6-0 trashing of Al-Jandal in a King Cup round 1 clash.

Musa scored his side’s second goal in the 47th minute after Abdulrazak Hamdallah had shot Al Nassr Riyadh into the lead in the 29th minute of the match.

Hamdallah scored two more goals in the 66th and 80th minutes to make it 4-1 and in the process bagged a hattrick before Musa completed his double on the dot of the 90th minute.

Giuliano Victor had earlier scored the 5th goal for Al Nassr Riyadh in the 88th minute before Musa added the icing on the cake with the sixth goal of the encounter in the 90th minute.

“Good to start the year with a goal! We keep working hard till the end of the season. Well done mates,” Musa tweeted after the game via his handle @AhmedMusa718.

Musa joined Al Nassr Riyadh on a four year deal from Leicester City last summer and he has scored seven times in 15 games for Al Nassr Riyadh. The former Leicester City forward last scored a goal in November 2018 for Al Nassr Riyadh in their 1-0 win over Shabab.

Al Nassr Riyadh is currently second in the Saudi Professional League and will square up the seventh-placed team, Al-Faisaly FC in their first league game in 2019.
