Champions League Play-Off Draw: Find Out Who Osimhen, Lookman And Onyedika Will Play

Galatasaray, Atalanta, and Club Brugge are in the Champions League play-off draw.

Club Brugge demolished Marseille 3-0 to confirm their play-off spot. Raphael Onyedika played all 90 minutes and was brilliant.

Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman could not help Galatasaray and Atalanta as they both suffered defeats with their respective clubs, but were able to secure a play-off spot.

The 2025/26 UEFA Champions League knockout phase play-off draw takes place on Friday, 30 January at 11 am.

The play-off draw involves the teams finishing in ninth to 24th place in the league phase, the top eight sides in the league phase having qualified automatically for the round of 16.

The Champions League play-off draw will take place at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland, and this is a detailed explanation of how UEFA will conduct the draw.

‘a. The clubs are paired based on their positions at the end of the league phase to form four seeded pairs (clubs in positions 9 and 10, 11 and 12, 13 and 14, and 15 and 16) and four unseeded pairs (positions 17 and 18, 19 and 20, 21 and 22, and 23 and 24).

b. The clubs in each seeded pair are drawn into the knockout phase bracket, against the clubs in each unseeded pair: clubs 9 or 10 against clubs 23 or 24, clubs 11 or 12 against clubs 21 or 22, clubs 13 or 14 against clubs 19 or 20, and clubs 15 or 16 against clubs 17 or 18.’

Galatasaray finished 20th on the UEFA Champions League table and are paired with Club Brugge, who finished 19th in the unseeded side of the draw.

The 19th and 20th teams in the unseeded side of the draw will play the 13th and 14th teams in the seeded side of the draw.

Juventus finished in the 13th spot ahead of 14th placed Atletico Madrid on goal difference as both teams finished with 13 points each.

So Galatasary will be drawn against either Juventus or Atletico Madrid, with Club Brugge playing the other one of that pair, which Galatasary doesn’t get.

Atalanta finished 15th and are paired with Bayer Leverkusen, who finished 16th on the Champions League table in the seeded side of the draw.

Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen will play against Borussia Dortmund, who finished 17th, and Olympiacos, who finished 18th in the unseeded side of the draw.

Champions League play-off dates:

First legs: 17/18 February 2026

Second legs: 24/25 February 2026

Osimhen, Lookman, and Onyedika will actively be involved in the UEFA Champions League Play-offs, and we wish them the very best of luck.
