Fenerbahce Ready To Launch Official Bid For Ademola Lookman
Turkish giants Fenerbahce are ready to officially place their first bid for Atalanta and Nigeria star forward, Ademola Lookman, as they intensify efforts to lure the Nigerian to the Turkish League this January.
The report by Sport Mediaset journalist Orazio Accomando suggests that Fenerbahce are ready to make an official offer structured as a paid loan worth €5 million, with a right, or potential obligation, to buy set at €37 million.
Although talks are still in a very premature stage, Fenerbahce are seriously interested in Lookman and have made him their priority target this January to strengthen their attack to aid the cause of pinching the league title away from arch rivals, Galatasaray.
Taking Lookman away from Atalanta won’t be an easy task, as the Bergamo-based club values Lookman highly following his performances in Serie A and Europe.

It will take a huge and tempting offer to make the club hierarchy sanction the sale of Ademola Lookman, and, importantly, Atalanta will prefer an outright sale rather than a loan deal.
The Super Eagles forward, who is currently at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025), is still a very key figure for Atalanta, but disagreement and the player’s unsettled behaviour have ignited interest from abroad, and Fenerbahce is now hoping to take advantage of the situation.
Just before the start of the season, Lookman was on the verge of joining Serie A rivals Inter Milan, and he went as far as trying to force a move away from Atalanta.
However, Atalanta refused to sanction the deal, and Inter were forced to back off, and the player was forced to remain in Bergamo.
Whether this deal fails or succeeds will depend on the willingness and commitment of Fenerbahce to go the extra mile to meet the demands of both Lookman and Atalanta. Negotiation is still at an early stage, but the situation will become clearer in the days ahead.
