Flying Eagles Of Nigeria Lose To Egypt In Second Friendly Match
The Flying Eagles of Nigeria coached by Paul Aigbogun lost 2-1 to the Egyptian U-20 team in the second warm up match between both teams in Alexandra, the first match played in Cairo a few days ago ended goalless.
AFC Bournemouth attacking midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh, who is 18, made his international debut for the U-20 team of Nigeria after pledging allegiance to Nigeria ahead of England.
The Young Pharaohs of Egypt were in total control of the match, the Flying Eagles were lucky to concede just two goals which were scored in each half, Mike Zaruma however grabbed a consolation goal for Nigeria in the second half.
Coach Paul Aigbogun in an interview after the match stated that:
“We came here to look at the boys we have put together and that we are working with, and to see if we are on the right path. On the evidence of performance by the boys from the two matches, I believe we are not doing badly. We also came here to see how they would cope in game situations, and we were not disappointed”.

The seven-time African champions Nigeria are due back in the country on Thursday (today), and will play the winner of the Sierra Leone and Guinea Bissau preliminary fixture in the first round of the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualifiers in May.
