Here is a preview to one of the football predictions:

Saint Patrick’s Athletic FC vs Bray Wanderers AFC, Ireland – Premier Division, At Richmond Park. Time: 19:45

St. Patrick’s Athletic’s fans will be expecting three points from their side on Friday as their team plays host to bottom of the table Bray Wanderers in the Irish Premier Division.

The home side can’t move up or down in the table this weekend, but a victory could take them to within three points of a top half place, while a win for struggling Bray could see the gap between the bottom two clubs reduced to six points.

St. Patrick’s Athletic narrowly avoided relegation last season as they finished in eighth place, and Friday’s hosts have improved things this season, though not by much.

As things stand St. Patrick’s sit two places better off in the Premier Division table, and could still finish in the top half if they have a good run from now until the end of the season in October.

Improvements are going to be needed for that to happen though, as Friday’s hosts boast the fifth worst attack in the league this season, scoring just 31 goals, and the fourth worst defence which has conceded 40 goals in just twenty-seven matches.

The goal scoring exploits of veteran midfielder Conan Byrne have once again come to St. Patrick’s rescue this season, and the Irishman has scored at least seven league goals in all six of his campaigns since making the move from Shelbourne.

The form of St. Patrick’s has been poor in recent weeks, with Friday’s hosts picking up two wins and suffering four defeats from their last six games in league and cup, but each of those wins has arrived in the clubs last two home games.

Amazingly, Bray Wanderers finished six last season with 46 points to their name as well as a goal difference of +3, which is unrecognisable to the shambles that have represented the Seagulls in 2018.

With twenty-seven games of this season gone Bray Wanderers find themselves bottom of the Premier Division and destined for relegation unless they can pull off a great escape.

Four defeats, one draw, and one win from their last six matches actually represent decent form for Bray Wanderers this season, with Friday’s visitors on fifteen points and an unhealthy goal difference of -52.

As you might have guessed, Bray has the worst attack and worst defence in the league this season, so it’s no wonder that even an out of form St. Patrick’s fancy their chances of a return to winning ways on Friday.

If Bray is going to get anything from this game then the chances are they will need to score. With four goals each in the Premier Division, this season Coughlin and McCabe lead the way in front of goal and provide their most likely source of goals.

We’re confident that St. Patrick’s Athletic will win on Friday and that over 2.5 goals will be scored in the process. St. Patrick’s have won five of their last seven games against Bray Wanderers, and the visitors have conceded 70 goals in the league this season, exactly 20 more than Derry who boasts the second worst defensive record.

There have been over 2.5 goals in four of St. Patrick’s and Bray Wanderers last six matches, and we’re expecting more of the same when the pair clash in the Premier League on Friday. Our main prediction is a home win and over 1.5 goals.
