Sadiq Umar Joins Valencia On A Permanent Deal From Real Sociedad

Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar has secured a permanent transfer to LaLiga side Valencia, which brings to a climax his struggles for game time at Real Sociedad.

The lanky forward has signed a long-term contract that will keep him at the Mestalla until 2028.

The move follows his loan spell with Valencia during the second half of last season, where he impressed enough to convince the club to make the deal permanent.

Sadiq, speaking after the transfer was confirmed, the 28-year-old forward could not hide his excitement, describing the move as a dream fulfilled after months of anticipation.

I’m very excited and happy. I’ve been waiting since last summer and, finally, I’m here, Sadiq said.

I’m the happiest guy in the world. I wanted to come back here; I’ve done everything possible. The club has also made the greatest possible effort. I’m very happy to return.

Valencia CF is one of the biggest clubs in Spain, and you can feel it in the culture and the people: they never abandon the club.

This transfer will offer a new lease of life to his career after a difficult couple of seasons at Real Sociedad.
